Lunch Celebration at Hotel Kaposvar

We decided to celebrate the one month mark of our mission at a nice restaurant where one of the young men, Butzi, works.  The food was beautiful and fun.  We ate with the young elders and sisters, and Butzi was our very attentive waiter.

This was bacon wrapped veal over potatoes. Elder Fitzgerald enjoyed it!  Butzi's suggestion.  He told him that the first thing he ordered wasn't as good as this. So, Elder Fitzgerald changed his order!

This was pork with french fried onions and potatoes.

This is Weiner schnitzel--breaded pork.  Somehow, I thought Weiner schintzel was a hotdog! This is a German dish--Elder Dietrich's selection!

This was pork ribs with rice and hashed brown potatoes.

This was chicken over potatoes and a unique and wonderful  salad that had a touch of vinegar in it.  This was my lunch.  Great!

This is salmon, potatoes, eggplant, and other good stuff.  Dad's lunch.  He cleaned his plate!

This was dessert--a creme-filled donut, Hungarian style.  We each got one!

This is our 17 year-old waiter who works at the restaurant in a kind of   ROP program with his school.  He speaks excellent English!  Notice the background.  We felt like we were in the Sacred Grove!  Sister Gordon is jobbra (on the right).  Butzi is balra (on the left).

  1. I would enjoy any of those dishes. In fact, the presentation is an A+ for sure. Even if the food wasn't good at least it looked good. Congrats on having one month under your belt!
